L. Taylor (b. 1990) is a Charlottesville-based artist, designer, and educator. With a background in architecture, Taylor brings a spatial awareness and careful craft to all of their work, ranging from drawing & painting to poetry to architectural design. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Architectural History from the University of Virginia (2012) and a Master of Architecture from Tulane University (2017).

At the root of their work is a deep curiosity in the human condition, and a willingness to explore it through various mediums. Pair this with several years of experience in architectural design, staging interiors, and art curation, and what emerges is an attuned sensitivity and wide knowledge base for the nuances of human experience— our relationship to the spaces, objects, and stories that surround us.

A dedicated dance and somatic practice also informs Taylor’s work, bringing an embodied awareness to both inner and outer experiences.
